Lake Powell!

Since Tyler's family has a time share on a house boat at Bullfrog, one of our big trips this summer was Lake Powell . It's usually the same time every year in August over Tyler's birthday but the last two years they have gone over the 4th of July. We left early Thursday Morning and headed down with Cory, Joni, Bitner, Tyler, Calli and I all packed in Cory's truck it was a lot of good conversation and just the company and excitement of the beginning of the trip.
We were a little nervous about Calli's paws on the hot sand and asphalt in the parking lot, so the night before Tyler and I put her shoes on. She never wears them so it was funny to see how she walks like a horse with them on. She hates them so she picks her feet up so high or just stands there and looks at you like get this off me. The things we do for our kids.
This was Bitner's first trip to Lake Powell and being in water. Not Calli this is her 4th time going to Powell and she loves the water. I know my dog wears a life vest, but hey she is my child and you put your kids in a vest. Calli helped Bitner get up the courage to swim and pretty soon he loved the water too, not as much as Calli, but almost.

Look Calli is a natural at swimming

"Hand and Foot" you have to know how to play card's in Tyler's family if you go to Lake Powell. Some of our late night games, Tyler has his game face on Go Tyler go.

By the end of the day the dogs were so tired from swimming and the heat that they would crash. They would lay by our feet as we played games at the table. Everyone that goes are such good sports to put up with and accommodate the kids.

Calli loves to go on boat rides and Bitner likes to be right next to her.

Just a Lazy day in Powell

Carrie, This is Kelsee Ian's wife. I am laughing at your blog right now because of Kalli's life vest. Not because I think it is ridiculous but because our dog Lilly has one as well. You have to keep your kids safe. :)
